Become a Vigo testing partner
Vigo is stable in testing but hasn't been validated across every architecture, every workload, or at full scale. That's where you come in.
Why a partner program?
Vigo has big ambitions: replace the entire legacy configuration-management stack with a single server, a single agent binary, and a sane pricing model. The code runs. The tests pass. The docs exist. What it needs now are real-world fleets — real hardware, real distros, real workloads, real failure modes — to harden the rough edges before general availability.
Testing partners are the people who help us get there. In exchange for running pre-GA software and telling us what breaks, you get Vigo at a permanent discount, a direct line to the engineers building it, and real influence over where the product goes next.
Who we're looking for
Meaningful fleets
Ideally 100+ nodes, but we're flexible. We're equally interested in a diverse 60-node fleet running eight distros across bare metal and three clouds, and a homogeneous 500-machine Linux fleet. Diversity stress-tests compatibility; scale stress-tests performance and load. Both teach us things we can't learn alone.
In-house platform & SRE teams
Companies that run their own infrastructure and feel the pain of their current config-management tool. You know why you're looking, and you have the authority to try something new.
MSPs and managed hosting
Firms that manage infrastructure on behalf of multiple clients. Multi-tenant patterns, template-heavy configs, and fast onboarding are exactly the stress tests we want.
Compliance-driven orgs
Regulated industries where the tamper-evident audit trail, 22 compliance frameworks, and Connwaer's active compliance verification actually matter. We want your auditors to push on the evidence model.
What we ask of you
Honest feedback
File bugs when things break. Tell us when the docs are wrong, when a workflow feels clunky, when a feature is missing, or when something surprises you. Rough notes are fine — we'd rather have the raw reaction than a polished report.
Regular check-ins
A scheduled call every few weeks so we can hear how it's going, understand your roadmap, and show you what's coming. This is where most of the product direction actually gets decided.
Be a reference
Once you're comfortable with Vigo in production, we'd like to list you as a partner and (eventually) write up a short case study. Nothing gets published without your explicit approval, and you can opt out at any time.
Public partnership
List Vigo as a partner on your site and publish a short announcement about the partnership when you're ready. Visibility on both sides — we list you, you list us. Timing, placement, and wording are entirely your call, and we'll happily review or co-write the announcement if that helps.
What you get in return
Free during alpha
Zero license cost for the entire alpha program, at any fleet size. No node cap, no time limit inside the program.
50% off for life
When Vigo hits general availability, testing partners get a permanent 50% discount on every published tier, on every node, forever. The loyalty discount stacks on top of that.
Direct line to engineering
Email, Slack, or a scheduled call — whatever works. You talk to the engineers writing the code, not a support queue. Bugs you report get fixed in days, not quarters.
Roadmap influence
Partner feedback is the primary input to what we build next. If your fleet needs a resource type, an integration, or a workflow that doesn't exist yet, it goes to the top of the list.
Honest disclaimers
This is alpha software
It's stable in our testing, but you'll find bugs. You should be comfortable running pre-GA software on the fleets you're pointing at it — and ideally starting with a non-critical slice before rolling out wider.
No SLA yet
Support is best-effort-but-fast during the partner program. We'll move heaven and earth to unblock you, but we can't put a contractual number on response times until GA.
Breaking changes are possible
We try hard to avoid them, and we'll give you runway whenever we can't. But alpha means the config format, CLI surface, and wire protocol are not frozen yet.
Your data stays yours
Vigo is self-hosted. We never see your configs, your traits, your audit logs, or your infrastructure. Feedback is whatever you choose to send us — nothing phones home.
Interested?
Send a short note describing your fleet — rough node count, OS mix, what you're running today, and what you're hoping Vigo will do better. We'll reply within a day or two.
